I’m thrilled to announce (after some untimely delay) the first reading, signing, and discussion forum for American Memorial. Dylan and I are thrilled to have our event hosted by the kind folks at Honey/Alma Mater in Tacoma, Washington. All are invited to this unique poetry/photography experience in celebration of our book!
Copies of American Memorial, one-of-a-kind posters, postcards, and more will be available for purchase. Thank you and hope to see you there!

‘Competition’ on page 66 of American Memorial (No. 1) exemplifies a fundamentally flawed nature of competition. If you allow this minor annoyance, I want to propose a different ideal of competition: competition is at its core a process of value judgment upon oneself – not a process of defeating or eliminating the value of (an)other(s). That is the metaphor of war, my friend, that you evoke on page under the guise of competition.
Please know I only mean to open dialogue here through commentary – I felt moved by the work you present, and that is why I feel it important to help in distinction where I might be able to. I look forward to you reply.
